Silver

In this course, you will disassemble, inspect, clean, and obtain the critical skills that will keep your AR-15 or AR-10 functioning flawlessly. You will learn about the operating cycle, frequent wear and failure points, and troubleshooting skills for the AR system. Taught by our Certified AR-15 Armorer, you will learn the correct methods involved in preventative maintenance and we will debunk many myths regarding the correct operation, cleaning, inspection, and storage of your rifle. Please bring your AR with you. We will provide you with everything else you need and you’ll leave with your AR in tip-top shape. 

2 Hour Class

This is one of our most popular courses. Often overlooked as a defensive weapon, an AR15 provides the shooter with the highest degree of accuracy, stopping power, capacity, and multi-shot capability. This class will cover AR15 options, ammo choices, suppression, AR15 fundamentals and movement with an AR15. You will need at least 200 rounds of ammunition and two magazines. You’ll need 200 rounds of ammunition with you the night of the course. No steel tipped, steel core, bi-metal or steel jacketed rounds are allowed. This includes M855 ammo.

Please notify range if you do not have a weapon or magazines. They will be available for rent if you do not have one.

2 Hour Class

Gold

Prerequisite: Silver Level classes

This course builds off of our highly popular AR15 for Defense I class. Students will pick up where we left off, training on advanced shooting with movement, shooting from a barricade, tactical magazine changes, and clearing malfunctions. This is a down range course, so wear clothes that you can get dirty. Bring your AR15, a minimum of two magazines, and 200 rounds of ammunition. We can make a rifle available to you if needed. Note: No steel-tipped, steel core, bi-metal, or steel jacketed rounds are allowed, including M855 ammo.

We highly recommend a rifle sling and magazine pouches.  This course is limited to six students and fills quickly.

Class does not include firearms, ammo, or ear & eye protection. Available for purchase at Chanhassen & Eagan.

Prerequisite: AR15 for Defense I

2 Hour Class

This is the third in our highly popular series of AR15 courses. Students will participate in partner drills, transitions from carbine to handgun, advanced movement with a team, and much more. This is one of the most advanced tactical courses we offer. Wear suitable clothing as we’ll be working down range. Bring your AR15 and a handgun.

This course requires a rifle sling and a suitable holster for your handgun. NO CHEST RIG HOLSTERS ALLOWED! You’ll also need 200 rounds each of your AR and handgun ammunition. Note: No steel tipped, steel core, bi-metal or steel jacketed rounds are allowed. This includes M855 ammo.

A minimum of two magazines for each gun is required. A minimum of two magazine pouches per firearm is highly recommended, A chest rig or tactical vest/plate carrier and knee pads are recommended but not required.

2 Hour Class

Platinum

Prerequisite: Gold Level Classes

We’re going to stretch it out a bit. This course will take place on a 100-yard outdoor range where you will be shooting from multiple positions, test your marksmanship skills at distance, and participate in advanced partner and team drills with movement. This is the most advanced tactical course we offer. Wear suitable clothing as we’ll be working outdoors rain or shine and regardless of temperature.

Bring your AR15 and a handgun. This course REQUIRES a rifle sling and a suitable holster for your handgun. NO CHEST RIG HANDGUN HOLSTERS ALLOWED! You’ll also need 400 rounds each of your AR and handgun ammunition. You will need to bring your own eye and ear protection as well.

Students must have taken one of our The AR15 for Defense courses, I, II, or III to participate in the course. A minimum of two magazines for each gun is required. A minimum of two magazine pouches per firearm is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, A chest rig or tactical vest/plate carrier is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and knee pads/elbow pads are recommended but not required. Of course, eye and ear protection is mandatory.
